Model Gloria Velez is best known for her sexy appearances in several popular rap videos, such as Ja Rule's "Holla Holla," Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'" and DMX's "What These B*tches Want" just to name a few. The Latina beauty's big bust and round firm butt is a valuable asset in today's enetertainment industry. Very few girls pose a serious challenge to Gloria's incredible physique.
Gloria Velez was born on December 18, 1978, in Long Island, New York. As a teen, she attended John Casablancas' modeling school and was subsequently granted a contract with the Elite Modeling Agency. Soon after signing with Elite, Velez entered the entertainment world. At only 16, she joined *NSYNC and Sisqo on tour, doing both modeling and dancing.
The Latin hottie -- her grandparents are Puerto Rican -- made the natural transition to music videos, joining several other bootylicious girls in rap clips by Ja Rule, Jay-Z and DMX. Her modeling career skyrocketed following her video appearances, and she was featured in magazines like XXL, Ryde, Black Men, King, Smooth, and even Playboy.
As she posed in the near-buff in these glossy spreads, Velez also established a beautifully designed website: GloriaVelez.com. With solid Internet branding underway, Velez became a recognized name. Her real passion, however, was not in modeling. It paid the bills and helped her to comfortably raise her young child, but it was not her calling.
Velez felt that music was what fit. While still modeling, she set out to cultivate a rap career by writing songs, recording demos and trying to get signed. After several contractual disputes, Velez decided to go at it solo and released Glory independently. Promotional tours, collaborations and mixtapes followed for Gloria, who continues to market her music while modeling for national clothes chain Bellahoney.
